An Invitation To Say Goodbye
For Trumpers who cannot acknowledge facts, best to follow writers who do not deal in them.
It would be a strange thing for a writer to invite his readers to think about whether they wanted to continue to read his stuff — or instead say “goodbye.” I have a strange brain.
But at least it values honesty.
President Donald Trump will do whatever he decides to do for the next four years. Despite my personal opinion of him, I think it’s quite possible that he could achieve some big things for the country. Possible.
I like the the fact that many of the folks who read TGM vigorously disagree with me politically. I have said many times that Americans who dismiss or disdain the people who voted for Trump — or any oppositional candidate — are part of the problem. You get one vote. We all do. E Pluribus Unum.
But what I cannot stand are people who are incapable of being honest with themselves. I cannot stand people who refuse to acknowledge truths that modern media have made unquestionable.
So in light of Trump’s pardons and commutations for people who were convicted of unlawful violence and/or sedition on January 6, 2021, I am compelled to present the following truths (with evidentiary links).
We can disagree about the President’s character and his actions. But any readers who are not able to acknowledge the following verifiable facts — that are on video (visual/audio) — I invite you to unsubscribe. Let’s thin the herd down to the honest folks. I’ll sleep better at night.
Donald Trump said in a statement to the nation on January 7, 2021, that Jan. 6 was:
“a heinous attack on the U.S. Capitol. Like all Americans, I am outraged by the violence, lawlessness, and mayhem. The demonstrators who infiltrated the. Capitol, have defiled the seat of American democracy. To those who broke the. law, you will pay.”
U.S. Capitol Police Officers were physically beaten on January 6, 2021. Washington Metropolitan Police Officer Daniel Hodges was trapped and beaten with a baton. MPD Officer Michael Fannone was dragged, beaten and tazed.
On Janaury 7, 2021, Donald Trump refused to acknowledge that he lost the 2021 election.
Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin said: “I will tell you that it was pretty disturbing to see that at the U.S. Capitol. Those individuals that physically attacked police officers, they committed a crime and they should pay for that. They need to serve their time.”
On the weekend before (and day of) Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration, the President still refused to acknowledge his loss in the 2021 Election.
Vice President J.D. Vance said on FOX News on January 12: “If you committed violence on that day, obviously you shouldn’t be pardoned.”
These are among the basic facts surrounding an election lie manufactured by President Trump from 2020-today, and physical violence committed on his behalf on January 6.
For those who can affirm these demonstrable facts — a simple intellectual task — I’m so glad to keep creating content for you. For those who are not capable of this minimal grasp of true things, I wish you well. And I hope our President succeeds.
Though I’ll still be weighing in politics from time to time, the HIDDEN LESSON(S) series on TGM will be the main feature throughout 2025. Watch for it!!

Well said, Michael! Jews on this site have a special history and know better. I can’t say it as well as has been said and repeated before:
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Thanks for putting those truths out there
